The Department of Health and the Wellcome Trust are inviting proposals from organisations and research groups seeking to draw on funding from the Health Innovation Challenge Fund to further the development of innovative healthcare products, technologies and interventions, and to facilitate their development for the benefit of patients in the NHS and beyond.  

Help the Hospices, the UK Charity for Hospice care,  has announced that grants of up to £30,000 are available to full member hospices to fund new developments in care that will enable more people to be discharged from hospital to their preferred place of care, whether this be at home or in a hospice. Funded by the St. James's Place Foundation this can be to implement work that either addresses the findings from feasibility study/scoping exercise or supports new developments which demonstrate a clear evidence of need.   

Merseyside YouthBank and Jamie Carragher's 23 Foundation are working together to deliver a young people's community leader programme that will provide 10 £500 grants to young people looking to give something back to their local communities.
